12 New Things – Learning to Knit

by Donna on October 4, 2010

Well… it’s check in day, let’s see how my “Learning to Knit” goal is going.

Once I got started knitting again, it all came back to me very quickly. I even learned how to purl!

Unfortunately… THIS is as far as I’ve gotten…

Yep – it’s not going well. I just can’t find the time to knit.I’ve been super busy between blogging, working my part-time job, being a mommy and wife and starting to work with new clients I haven’t found much time for recreational things.

I’m working on changing my night-time routine so that I’m spending some time unplugged and relaxing before bed and I think I’ll use that time to knit or read. Until then, my sad little “scarf” will have to wait.

October’s “New Thing” was going to be learn how to quilt – however I have a feeling I’ll have to choose something a bit less ambitious. So I’m changing October’s “New Thing” is to – Survive My First Blogging Conference. I know, I know – I’m cheating a little but I assume Sarah Mae will let it slide since she is one of the wonderful ladies putting on the conference and hosting this great .

Until next month!

Ahhh… Your picture made me giggle. That is exactly why I have had a half finished scarf on my own knitting needles for years and YEARS! I guess you won’t be the one to finish it for me, huh?

Hi Donna! Saw you on the attendees list for the conference and thought I’d pop by to say hello. :) I’m also hoping to survive the conference. I’ll admit, it’s a bit overwhelming, but I’ll have my friend September there to help me cope. ha! (She’s scared too!)

So nice to meet you!
